World Environment Day 2025

Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) has celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with a vibrant awareness campaign including Rally, Human Chain, Street drama, and leaflet distribution. This event was organized by BLF, with support from Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS) & Mondiaal FNV.

Our efforts have drew attention to the urgent need for climate-conscious labour policies and equitable transitions in the face of environmental and technological changes, focusing on Environmental Justice, Labour Rights, and Just Transition.

The program witnessed active participation from workers, environmental activists, trade union leaders, and representatives of Awaj Foundation, other labour rights organizations, reflecting a strong collective voice for sustainable development and inclusive policy action.

Together, we echoed the message that protecting the planet and ensuring workers’ rights must go hand in hand. A Just Transition is not only a necessity—it’s a right.
