Tannery Checklist Implementation Workshop
Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) and BFLLFEA has jointly organized a Tannery Checklist Implementation Workshop with the support from Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishment (DIFE) on 19 October, 2024 at Hemayetpur, Savar, Dhaka.
This workshop aimed to orient from mid-level management from among finished leather factories, enabling them to ensure compliance within their workplaces. The workshop covered some major topics such as Background of tannery factory inspection checklist, basic concept of compliance, detail insight of the checklist, factory wise self-assessment and prepare action plan based on the checklist.
We have developed a Tannery factory checklist which is approved by Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE). Before implement the factory checklist in field level by DIFE, this workshop was conducted to build capacity for mid-level supervisors. 20 Supervisor from 10 factories are participated in this workshop. BLF provided the technical and logistics support to BFLLFEA to organized this workshop.
