Week of Action against Child Labour

Child labour is a global issue that prevents children from fulfilling their potential. Child labour is a violation of children’s rights – the work can harm them mentally or physically, expose them to hazardous situations or stop them from going to school.

12 June marks the World Day Against Child Labour under the theme “Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour.” This year the day will be celebrated with a “Week of Action against Child Labour” from 3rd Jun to 12th June 2022.

Significant progress towards ending child labour requires increased investment in universal social protection systems, as part of an integrated and comprehensive approach to tackle the problem.

In solidarity with the ILO and the Government of Bangladesh, BLF has started a Campaign for the Week of Action against Child Labour in the inter-event area and national level. BLF has launched Social Media Campaign also in line with the campaign of ILO.
