National Dialogue on the Child Labour Recommendations of the LRC
On 11 August, Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) organized a National Dialogue on the Recommendations of the Labour Reform Commission (LRC)
Labour Reform Commission’s Recommendations on Child Labour Workshop
A set of recommendations has been submitted to the Labour Reform Commission to eliminate child labour in Bangladesh. To take a step forward in implementing these recommendations, Bangladesh Labour Foundation organized a workshop on National Child Labour Situation, Labour Reform Commissionโs Recommendations on Child Labour Elimination, and the Role of Trade Unions.
With support from Mondiaal FNV, the event was held on 21 July 2025 at Banani, Dhaka. Youth and women trade union (TU) leaders from various sectors participated in the event.
The TU leaders focused on:
โข Social protection for poor families
โข Vocational training facilities
โข Strong monitoring mechanisms
Letโs unite our voices and actions to Eliminate Child Labour!
