Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) organized a Monthly Meeting with the Keraniganj Trade Union Executive Committee (EC) on 19 August 2025
Inspection on Tannery Factories
On 26th August 2025, representatives from the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) and the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) conducted inspections at four tannery factories to assess workplace safety, labour rights, and management practices.
Discussions were also held on the formation of Safety Committees and Anti-Harassment Committees in each factory.
The Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) provided technical support for this initiative and remains committed to promoting safer and fairer workplaces for all workers.
