Kick off Meeting on Minimum Wage Implementation
The Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) organized a kickoff meeting on Minimum Wage Implementation in the Tannery Sector as part of the National Plan of Action (NPA).
Md. Atiqur Rahman, Deputy Inspector General of the Dhaka district office, extended a warm welcome and discussed the importance of implementing minimum wages. Mrs. Julia Jesmin, Joint Inspector General (Health), presided over the meeting as the chair.
The program was held on January 27, 2025, at Hotel 71, Bijoynagar, Dhaka, with technical support from the Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF).
