Just Transition in the Apparel Sector in Bangladesh and Roal of Trade Union Leaders
Youth and Women Leaders from different trade unions federations of Bangladesh Readymade Garment Sector gathered today for an impactful workshop addressing the imperative theme of “Just Transition and the Role of Trade Unions.” The workshop provided a collaborative space for participants to explore strategies, share insights, and develop a collective understanding of the critical role trade unions play in facilitating a fair and sustainable transition in Bangladesh RMG Industries.
The workshop concluded with the formulation of action plans and next steps, outlining strategies for trade unions to actively contribute to a just transition within their respective contexts.
The workshop served as a vibrant platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, laying the groundwork for trade unions to play an active and informed role in the global movement towards a just transition. The participants expressed their commitment to work together to ensure a justified transition of the RMG workers in upcoming days.
