World Day Against Child Labour, 2021 has been observed by BLF on 12 June

World Day Against Child Labour is observed on 12 June every year around the world. 2021 is the international year for the elimination of child labour. This year, the theme was ‘Act Now: End Child Labour’. Like other countries of the world, Bangladesh has also observed the day with due dignity.

Bangladesh Labor Foundation has been working since the beginning to prevent child labour. Like every year, this time BLF has observed this day with special importance. The Bangladesh Labor Foundation (BLF) has organized a number of programs such as road shows, rallies, discussion meetings and poster distribution in Keraniganj, one of its working areas, to make the factory owners, workers and the local people aware about the elimination of child labour from the local garment industry of Keraniganj as well as from national level. This year BLF highlighted the steps taken for the 2021 International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour. Awareness has been spread on this day by portraying the plight of child labourers.
