Training for Women Committee of Personal Hygiene and Reproductive Health

With an objective to improve women worker’s knowledge and awareness of Personal Hygiene and Reproductive Health, a day-long training for the Women Committee of Tannery Industrial Estate, Savar was organised by Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) with the support of Mondiaal FNV on 21 August 2022. 20 female workers from different tannery factories participated in the training.
The course covered personal hygiene maintenance and practice in the family, menstrual cycle and menstrual health management, menopause and its consequences, diseases of the reproductive system, sexually transmitted diseases, and the importance of a healthy diet.
Dipti Boral, from Marie Stopes Bangladesh, facilitated the training. Mohammad Shiblijjaman, Upazila Social Services Officer, Savar, and Abul Kalam Azad, President, Tannery Workers Union attended the training as guests.
