Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) and Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishment (DIFE) jointly organized a Stakeholders Meeting on Elimination of Child Labour from Local RMG in Keraniganj. The meeting was held on 21^st December 2021 at Swapna Community Centre in Keraniganj, Dhaka. A K M Salauddin, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishment (DIFE) presided over the meeting. On behalf of Upazilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Keraniganj, Md. Abdullah Al Rony, Assistant Commissioner (Land) & Executive Magistrate Keraniganj, Dhaka was present in the meeting as chief guest. Mr. Z M Kamrul Anam, Secretary General of Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) delivered the welcome speech and A K M Ashraf Uddin, Executive Director of BLF concluded the meeting by vote of thanks to the guests and participants. Md. Jahangir Shah, UP Chairman of Aganagar Union Parishad and Md. Shahinur Rahman, Consultant of Mondiaal FNV were present in the meeting as special guest. Trade Union Leaders of Local RMG, Representatives of Keraniganj Garment and Shop Owners Cooperative Association, Representative West Aganagar Garment and Shop Owners Cooperative Association, Building Owners and Community leaders also present in the meeting. All participants have given their commitment to work jointly for elimination of child labour from Local RMG in Keraniganj. The meeting was moderated by Mahmudul Hasan Khan, Deputy Director of BLF.
