Refreshers Training for Core Group Members of Tannery Industry on OSH, Labour Law, GBV, Collective Bargaining and Negotiation Skills
With support of The Asia Foundation, Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) organized a 2 dayslong residential Refresher Training on OSH, Labour Law, GBV, Collective Bargaining and Negotiation Skills for the Core Group Members of Tannery Industry. The training was organized at CCDB Hope Foundation, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka on 26th November to 27th November 2021. 24 selected core group members of the tannery industry were participated in the training where 4 were female. The main objective of the training is to increase the knowledge and build the capacity of the participants. It is expected that participants will able to facilitate awareness session to organize the workers and will be able to perform to make the improvement of the workplace environment of the factory. It is also expected that after end of the training participant will able to handle their problems and negotiate effectively. They will prepare plan, meeting resolution, grievance record and maintain e-communication effectively. The training was facilitated by Md. Taherul Islam, Program Manager; A M Sajjad Hossain Khan, Senior Program Officer and Samiha Jamil, Consultant of The Asia Foundation. From BLF Mahmudul Hasan Khan, Deputy Director (Program), Khandaker Faisal Ahmed, Program Coordinator; Nukum Uddin, Training Officer and Israt Jahan, Senior Program Officer facilitated the different sessions of the training. Rehena Akter Ruma and Sayed Nahid Hasan, Labour Inspector of Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishment (DIFE) were present in the training as guest facilitators. Md. Taherul Islam, Program Manager of The Asia Foundation inaugurated and concluded the training.
