Padma Multipurpose Bridge Dreams Come True

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the 6.15 kilometers long Padma Multipurpose Bridge, which connects the southwest of Bangladesh with Dhaka through road and rail links.

According to transportation experts, economists, and business experts, Bangladesh will receive benefits worth more than $10 billion, which is three and a half times more than the construction cost, from the Padma Bridge during its economic life.

The economic potential of the Padma Bridge is important to change the fates of millions of people of the southwestern parts of Bangladesh as the much-awaited bridge will connect more than 30 million people of 21 Southern districts.

The bridge will help quick transportation of goods like industrial raw materials, agricultural products, transportation of people, and reduction of time in communication between the capital city and the rest of the southern parts of the country.

Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) works for the welfare of workers, working people, professionals, women, children, employees, and families. We would like to thank and congratulate Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for making the dream of Padma Bridge a reality.
