The working committee of National Plan of Action to ensure Social Compliance in the Tannery Industrial Estate, Dhaka
Working committee member of the national plan of action visited different tannery factories in the industrial estate of Savar to see the progress of social compliance of the factories. This visit aimed at assessing various aspects of social responsibility, labor practices, environmental impact, and overall compliance with regulations within the tannery industry.
During the visit, the committee member observed and evaluated the working conditions, employee welfare, health and safety practices, environmental sustainability measures, and adherence to social compliance standards set by national regulations and international frameworks.
By conducting the inspections and engaging with stakeholders, including workers, management, and representatives of different stakeholders, the committee gathered valuable insights to address any potential social compliance issues and work towards fostering a responsible and ethical industry environment.
