BLF organized a residential TOT on OSH, Labour Law, Trade Unionism, CBA and Negotiation skills for the Core Group Members of Local RMG in Keraniganj
Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) organized a 4 days long residential ToT on Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Labour Law, Trade Unionism, Collective Bargaining Association (CBA) and Negotiation skills for the Core Group Members of Local RMG. The training was organized at CCDB Hope Foundation, Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka on 16th August to 19th August 2021 with the financial & technical support of Mondiaal FNV. 20 selected core group members of Local RMG in Keranigonj were participated in the training where 2 were female. The main objective of the training is to increase the knowledge and build the capacity of the participants. It is expected that participants will able to facilitate awareness session to organize the workers and will be able to perform to make the improvement of the workplace environment of the factory. It is also expected that after end of the training participant will able to handle their problems and negotiate effectively. They will prepare plan, meeting resolution, grievance record and maintain e-communication effectively. The training was facilitated by Mahmudul Hasan Khan, Deputy Director of BLF. Z M Kamrul Anam, President of BTGWL inaugurated the training and facilitated the Leadership and Trade Unionism session from the beginning of 1st day. Mr. Shahinur Rahman, Bangladesh Consultant of Mondiaal FNV was present in the training as a guest facilitator and facilitated a session on Trade Union management and documentations. Md Sayed Nahid Hasan, Labour Inspector of DIFE and Rehana Akter Ruma, Additional Secretary of BTA also facilitated different sessions of the training. A K M Ashraf Uddin, Executive Director of BLF was present in last day of the training and gave a closing remarks as chief guest.
