NAJTB Executive Council Meeting on Just Transition
The National Alliance for Just Transition Bangladesh (NAJTB) had its first executive council meeting and officially began operations on April 29, 2026, in Dhaka,. The gathering provided a forum for discussion and cooperation on a worker-centered transition by bringing together representatives from national and sectoral trade union organizations, civil society organizations, and development partners.
Promoting a Just Transition Focused on Workers
The meeting’s objectives were to clarify NAJTB’s strategic direction, improve stakeholder coordination, and promote a common commitment to a fair and equitable transition in the context of technology advancement and climate change. The history, work plan, action plan, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of NAJTB were given in a thorough briefing, and participants actively provided input to help determine future objectives.
