MondiaalFNV visited Informal RMG in Keraniganj | Dhaka
Representatives from the Mondiaal FNV visited Keraniganj along with Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) where Ruben Korevaar, Policy Officer; Eva Scheffer, Fund Raising Officer and Md. Shahinur Rahman, Consultant of MondiaalFNV were present. Executive Director of BLF and other senior officers were present during the visit. They have observed the condition of the Local RMG on the ground and informed about the overall condition of the workers and trade unions. They spoke with many workers, child laborers, factory and showroom owners throughout their visits to several factories, showrooms, and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Later they have discussed with Keraniganj basic union leaders and BLF project staffs with the understanding and further collaboration opportunities in the informal RMG sector in Bangladesh.
