Bangladesh Labour Foundation (BLF) and Tannery Workers Union have celebrated May Day in the Tannery Industrial Estate (TIE), Savar. A colorful rally has been organized with the support of The Asia Foundation and attended by hundreds of tannery workers. Recently, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has approved a National Plan of Action (NPA) towards achieving Social Compliance in the Tannery Industrial Estate (TIE). BLF has initiated the process of developing the NPA.
